My nephew is in the Marine Corp as we speak and I hate to see our Service men and women slammed by outspoken Americans during conflict. Thank you for standing up for them as they stand up for us. Thank you for your Service then and now!

I enjoyed reading your three articles on John Kerry. I, too, am a Vietnam Vet, enlisted Marine. I was later commissioned as a Navy Chaplain in 1983. I was activated for OEF and OIF I and now OIF II. I come from a family of Marines. My brother, a Vietnam Vet CH46 pilot, retired from the reserves as a colonel. My step-father was a Marine in WWII. My nephew is a Marine Cobra pilot in Iraq. Proud to serve. God bless!

VETERANS ARE LITERALLY DYING BECAUSE OF THE SHAPE THE VETERANS ADMINISTRATION IS IN TODAY AND WHAT THIS PRESIDENT'S ADMINISTRATION'S OPPOSITION TO ADEQUATELY FUNDING AND MAKING THE VA BUDGET MANDATORY MEANS FOR THE REST OF US AND THOSE YOUNGSTERS NOW SERVING IN AFGHANISTAN AND IRAQ. I'm currently attending the USAF Academy Preparatory School and getting ready to enter the Academy Class of 2008. Sometimes here, its hard to remember exactly what I'm trying to become a part of; the US Military. Hearing stuff like this just helps me to want to work harder to honor those who've come before me like yourself that actually appreciate this country. Thanks for your sacrifice and for your dedication to informing those that might not otherwise understand. It really does mean a lot.

I served in the 1st Special Operations Wing (USAF) in the early 1970's and remember how we were treated as 5th Class Citizens for serving. I was spat upon when I went to town...all because of the negative public criticisms of the US Armed Forces by Hanoi Jane and Hanoi John. John Kerry and his warped idealology is the LAST thing we need for America right now. I am one veteran that will vote AGAINST John Kerry for all the veterans who can't vote.

I served in the Navy (USS Parsons DDG-33) from 1967 - 1971. It was my duty and priviledge. What I learned from that duty and through my life is that freedom isn't free. It is bought (and fought for) by all who love it. Never compromise with terrorists. Never appease freedom haters.

Don--Great job on Fox News Live yesterday! At first, I didn't follow the rape analogy, but after thinking it through, it is RIGHT ON! I do feel "raped" by Kerry and others' actions! As the daughter of a Vietnam MIA who is still not repatriated, I see how Kerry and others' testimony and activism led to the US pullout in Vietnam and leaving behind Last Known Alive/MIA cases to perish. I was only 5 then, so some of this I am (allowing) myself to hear and understand for the first time. Some people ask: "Why bring all this Vietnam stuff up now, it doesn't matter..." I say to them, it matter very much now, because many people are turning the Iraq war into the same thing! Our Iraq I & II Vets deserve more than that and we need to learn from PAST MISTAKES and TRAITORS of all wars...My best to you and your lovely and brave wife, Shirley. Keep fighting the good fight for those of us who don't have the strength or solid knowledge to do it!

I served in the Navy. I was not in during any major conflicts, and I feel fortunate to have avoided any, but I do respect and honor all of my friends who still serve to protect our country. I thank you for taking the time to provide me with valuable info about Kerry. I have disliked him since I first heard of him, and I planned to vote for GWB again this year anyway, but you have further heightened my resolve against Kerry. I would also like to thank you for the time you spent in the service, and I am glad that your life has turned out so well afterwards. God bless you and your family.

Dear Don, Thanks for exposing Hanoi John for what he actually is, a consummate and shameless liar, and a traitor to all the brave Americans and allies that gallantly fought in Vietnam against the oppression that Soviet Marxist Leninist Expansionism was in the near future going to bring upon all the people of South Vietnam, as it indeed happened, and as it is currently happening right now, for Vietnam remains a repressive communist dictatorship, which America recognized diplomatically under the administration of pro-Hanoi draft dodger Bill Clinton, and under heavy lobby by John Kerry (and, unfortunately, by John McCain). An active supporter of Hanoi while in college, but sailing under the mantra of opposing the Vietnam war, Kerry went to Vietnam against his will; he attempted to obtain deferment under the ludicrous excuse that he wanted to extend his schooling…in Paris, but the Draft Board rejected the shameless ruse. He then chose the Navy, hoping that he was going to remain on a ship in high seas, far from the conflict, but the Navy thought different and he ended up in one of those boats in the Mekong. Once under fire by his beloved Viet Cong and Hanoi soldiers, he had no other choice but to fight…for his hide; it was only his primordial instinct of survival, and not his devotion for country and honor, what ended up earning him those medals, which upon return to civilian life, instead of honoring them, he used as a stump to air his pro-Hanoi sentiments with all those lies…demonizing you veterans in the process. Now his defenders argue that what he said in Congress as a witness about the nauseating atrocities he said you vets had committed and were at the time committing in Vietnam was no more than repeating what he had heard from others during meeting with veterans in Detroit and elsewhere. However he didn’t make such clarification when testifying in front of Congress, were he was deposing as a witness, as someone that had himself witnessed the atrocities he was attributing to you, depicting you as despicable monsters, contrary to the honorable, brave veterans the vast majority you folks are. You have the credentials and the audience, please do keep referring to him as Hanoi John, make the name stick for he deserves it; he, as much as Hanoi Jane, was very instrumental in augmenting the torture that our POWs were suffering in the dungeons of Hanoi; he, as much as Hanoi Jane, was very instrumental in hurting the morale of our soldiers in the battlefield; he, as much as Hanoi Jane, was very instrumental in making the American people lose the will to win in Vietnam. Young people don’t know who he is, all what they hear is what the biased media keeps repeating, that he is a decorated Vietnam veteran. And for those who know about his aiding and abetting the enemy but conveniently want to cover up arguing that it is something that happened more than 30 years ago, riposte that if Kerry is bringing up the medals he won more than 30 years ago, he may as well be reminded of his traitorous behavior little bit later. Having had a pro-Hanoi, draft-dodger, consuetudinary liar and scoundrel –Clinton that is— as commander in chief is more than enough! We don’t need another of the same ilk; we don’t want Hanoi John as president. Last thought, get on Rush Limbaugh’s and Sean Hannity’s radio shows, as well as on O’Reilly’s, Hannity & Colmes and John Gibson’s TV shows Sincerely, Rene Guerra

Don, Saw you on FOX News, Amen Brother. The disinformation on the part of main stream media is out of control. It is obvious. READ 'THE VENONA SECRETS (declassified Soviet documents)' I had a 'gut instinct'back during my tour Quang Tri C 1/6(USMC 1969-1973 MOS 0311 grunt)that forces inside America were working against US. Much is revealed the older we get in spite of ABC,CBS,NBC,CNN, NY Times etc. Many here will not allow organizations like 'not in our name' cause any disruption with military bases. We have already confronted a few. Fortunately (for them) they avoided meeting with us. Not sure if you heard but during the Daytona 500 a few anti American anti Bush protestors were attacked by a group of iritated, angry women. After a few minutes we pulled our women off the protestors before we lost control. A few anti American protestors were hospitalized. I believe a few received more wounds then Kerry did. Not mentioned in the news but was in local newspaper. For obvious reason, main stream media doesn't want people to know that Americans are standing up for our President. Theory-- If not for the brillant idea of 'imbed reporters'(giving our military a name and a face) the extreme liberal today would be calling our military 'baby killers' like they did to us. Take Care

Mr. Bendell, I saw & heard you on Fox News Channel this morning. First off, I appreciate your service to our country. For myself, I am a Colorado native now working in Las Vegas. I too am a Viet Nam vet. I was in the US Air Force and served in & around Da Nang Air Base throughout 1968. I have two other brothers who also served in Viet Nam in 1968 & 1969. One, Tom, served in the U S Navy aboard several river patrol boats cruising the rivers and byways in I Corps and the other, Bill, was A U S Army Green Beret whose team worked with the Montenyards(SP) in I Corps. I also have two sons now on active duty in the U S Air Force. Both are Combat Controllers in Special Ops Units and have recently served in Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere. What you say about what John Kerry said and done after his stay in Viet Nam is important and needs to be said many more times in many more venues. Kerry's words and actions have hurt me and my brave & honorable brothers and comrades for all time. Thank you, keep up the good work.

Thank you for your dedicated service to our country. I enlisted in 1971 and retired in 1996 after serving in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy. I am a veteran of Viet Nam, Desert Storm, and Bosnia. I receive 30% service connected disability from the Veteran Affairs. I am glad we have someone like you that is taking a stand to this so-called war hero, a total disgrace to any person who has, is, or will serve this great nation of ours. I am really afraid of what will happen to this country, our military, and the VA (because there are a lot of our "Band of Brothers" that are a lot worse off than I am who really need the help of the VA)if he is elected. I have heard that the VFW is supporting him, I would like to know if this is true, if it is, then I will give up my membership even though it is a life membership. God bless you and your wife for your beliefs and may he protect those in your family who are serving. L8R

Don, John Kerry is a disgrace to ALL veterans! My father, John Nelson Bair fought and died in France in '45 for the freedoms we enjoy today. His Purple Heart was truley earned. John Kerry may have caused some of our Nam POWs to suffer needlessly. For that, I would never forgive him and consider him a traitor. He will burn in Hell before he gets my vote. Regards, John Bair

Thanks for your research and leadership. How about running for congress. You are a striking figure. Just saw you on Fox. Is it true Kerry only spent four months in Nam? Should this be brought out? How much total time in the army? I was regular army in Germany and missed a tour in Nam because of reserves brought in. I considered myself lucky, but do bear some guilt for not being there. I think you need to ask yourself if you should get out a quick book on Viet Nam Veterans and Kerry before the election. I am sure you could get some help. Keep up the great work. Please don't include this Veteran as one who supports your so obviously biased opinions. When I read your editorials I see a man who is exploiting his time served defending our country as a way to also sell books and promote his personal politics. Fortunately, I am not the mindless voter you describe. I am educated, intelligent, and independent. I am not swayed by hate no matter how much you profess to have properly investigated it all. Your defense of the Presidents military record,(or the lack of one), only proves how biased you are. Of course, my opinion probably doesn't count since I am not part of your "band of brothers". Us silly female Veterans probably don't rate real high in your opinion since we cannot compete with your combat record. You seem too ready to compare your combat time with Senator Kerry's as if yours was more important than his. How sad that you enjoy advancing the opinion that one Veteran is worth more than another.

Spot on commentary about Kerry, Don. Keep up the great work. I hope American starts listening. I was "in country" when Kerry testified about the "war crimes" my men and I were committing. While that alone would not disqualify him for the presidency, he has been consistently without principles ever since.

Hey fellow conservatives, if it's correct to say democratic for the demos, why isn't correct to say "republicanic" for a republicans, me thinks there is a hidden (or should I say a subliminal motive here), just a pet peeve of mine, I had to get it off my "republicanic" chest.

Thank you for your article on John Kerry. I love George W and although I was raised in a democratic family, I cast my first Presidental vote when I was 18. My first vote was for Ike. I have voted Republican ever since. I am now 69. I love the fact that our President is a Christian. This country was founded on believing in the grace of God but it seems that many people have forgotten that.

http://www.truthout.org/docs_04/033004D.shtml "A year ago Navy Lt. John Oliveira was appearing daily before television cameras defending the U.S. invasion. He was the top public affairs officer aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt. In a Democracy Now! exclusive he speaks today on a national program for the first time criticizing the invasion he was once paid to defend. To mark the first anniversary of the invasion, Oliveira was far from the battlefront -- he was taking part in his first peace rally. Two months after being honorably discharged, Oliveira decided to speak out against the invasion of Iraq for the first time. Today this decorated 16-year Navy veteran talks with Democracy Now! in his first national interview to criticize the U.S. invasion of Iraq and President Bush."

Dear Sir, Thank you so very much for getting the word about John Kerry. I destest him! I look forward to watching you on Fox tomorrow at 11:30. I am married to Col. Judson D. Daley (ret). He retired 1 1/2 yrs ago. Never dreamed he would stay in 30yrs. nor retire at Col. Buck Sgt. was what he came out from boot camp! My husband was Chief of Staff of USMTM, SAudi Arabia, 95-97. I was with him. I will never ever forget the bombing of Khobar Towers. It shook us right out of our bed! Our house shook and made the most unusual sounds. It was eerie to say the least. I had never ever been in a war zone before. So I could only imagine what one must truly be like. I thought we were going to die. I will never ever forget the mushroom cloud as we headed out of our home. As I was asking my husband which way is the base and as he told me we watched that cloud rise into the night sky. Nor will I ever forget the night on the tarmac that 19 American flagged draped coffins were placed lovingly in the C-5. It was so serene that I could not leave until the nose closed. I apologize for going on yet I truly fear what will happen if John Kerry is elected President! Thank you again for your love of country and your fellow man. May God Bless you Joyce Daley just a warriors wife

Dear Don, Thank you for your service and thank you for the editorials on Kerry. Being from Massachusetts originally,I can tell you that I am ashamed of Kerry and Kennedy both. I tried to get into the Marines to serve in 'Nam and was knocked down medically, the same thing happened in the draft. I was however "good enough" to be a police officer. My uncle Arthur D. LaMotte was killed on Iwo Jima at 20 years old with the third Marine division.God Bless our soldiers , country and our president. Keep up the good work and continue to let everyone know about Kerry. I certainly will pass the info along to all my friends.

I served in SE Asia for 4 years as a Master Sergeant (Non-commissioned officer). Even as an enlisted man, I knew -- AS A MATTER OF DUTY and standing orders -- that reports alleging war crimes were to be officially reported, whether I believed them as rumors or as truth. I also knew that as a matter of Military Law, I was required to report any first-hand knowledge of any felony or particularly war crimes. Do the same rules and Law not bind a Commissioned Officer? I still find it almost unconscionable that Kerry was not court-martialed or even charged – condemned by his own testimony.

Thank you Don, not only for the truth about Kerry, but your service to our country. In 1972 at the age of 17, right after high school, I joined the Navy to serve my county like my brother and father before me did. During my 3 years of active duty, I did not go to Vietnam and serve in country, although our ship was ready and we spent 2 days loading ammo onboard, we were cancelled and another ship was sent before us, but allot of my friends did. Most came back, but some did not. Because of this I feel closer to the Vietnam Vets then maybe others, but I am a Veteran who loves our great Country and will always support our Commander and our Troops no matter where they go. As for Kerry, I have no respect for him other then being a Veteran. I'm glad the truth is coming out about him and I thank you for being able to get the info out past the liberal media. Good luck as you go forward.

Great site, I will be checking it daily and passing it on. My wife, who is Japanese, and I will be watching Fox news on the 30th. My great uncle was in the Marines in WWI (France). My Uncle was in the Marines in WWII. I was in the Marines from 1954-1982 and served in Vietnam with the Purple Foxes (HMM-364). Worked fixing the helicopters at night and flew as a door gunner in the day. I really resent John Kerry calling us baby killers and I resent the disservice he has done to the Vietnam Vets. I didn't receive a medal for killing a wounded Viet Cong, but I did receive the Navy/Marine Corps Medal for helping save 54 Vietnamese children during the floods on 10/30/70. Keep your comments coming about Kerry, I will continue to work to get as many people as I can to register to vote in November.

I caught your article on the STAR VET forum. Thank you for finding the correct words and tone that so clearly state my problem with Kerry. He may present solutions to a number of problems our country is currently facing, but I can't help but wonder how much is political fluff. He reminds me to much of the self centered officers I had the privilege to serve with over my 20 year career. Your question needs to be answered by Mr Kerry...As an Officer, with knowledge of war crimes, duty bound to report them, where are the reports? Did he fail to uphold the oath he took? Or did he lack the courage? Either way, he loses in my book. No ethics or no courage. Or maybe a combination of both?

Two years back from Nam, Hanoi John started his "hearings". While I in my heart felt proud for my service, the news did not portray that thanks to Mr Kerry. Today we have that same "news" puporting to tell us all how bad war is again and how the Democrats are attuned somehow better to the needs of our countries defense. 35 years later this time I will do something about it. 1st VOTE and then 2ndly spread the truth about Hanoi John's activities. Great site.Kerry's turncoat behaviour is a measure of his character. What we have seen of "W' is real character. I see "W''s" character miles ahead of Hanoi John's. I am proud to have served my country in Nam. I flew CCC as a door gunner until 5/23/69 when wounds sent me to Walter Reed for 18 months and 3 months more in VA hospitals. I encourage all veterans to impact those around them for the coming election. Most veterans can see Kerry as a very wealthy gold digging man. John Kerry is for John Kerry, not the USA. Thanks for the mention to speak of CCC as we had to keep it under our hats when we returned. It was quite a "trip". "Clear right".
