How any veteran can back a man who called U.S. soldiers baby murderers etc. and throw his medals away in protest is beyond me! Will someone remind Mr.Kerry there was a day care center at the site of the Twin Towers. I didn't hear Kerry calling these terrorists baby killers. I don't know if it's true but I heard Kerry received one of his purple hearts when he cut his finger opening a ration can, Kerry himself put him for those medals, usally it's a higher ranking superior, I guess he couldn't wait to get back and throw em away. I didn't mind him protesting, it's the way he went about it. He denies any relationship with Jane Fonda, but he was the main speaker at an event she sponsered. I wonder who the biggest liar is, Kerry or the former Iraqi Administrator of Information. You can tell a lot about a man by his friends, Kennedy, Cardinal (Thanks For The Annulment) Law, Barbara Streisland, Michael Moore and race baiter Jesse Jackson, not to mention France & Iran's leading newspapers who also endorse Mr. Kerry.

I too served in Vietnam... I did not see action but I would have if asked too.. I worked in supply in Cameron Bay and Danang Viet Nam.. I find John Kerry accounts also repulsive to not only other veterans but also the ones that are fighting today.. I saw a sign today at the flea market that said crimes doesn't pay but politics do... Mr Kerry is like all politicians get me into office and I will look out for only me..

Thank you for your service and speaking up against this "Friend of Jane", I was too young for Vietnam, but I have friends and relatives who have since died from their service in that war. I have soldiers overseas and I may be joining them later this year??? I know that John Kerry is a lying opportunists that sets himself above all else. Usually military people are apolitical, but I urge all of you to help stop this conniver from reaching the White House. Our future and the future of our children depend on it. I don't agree with everything that Pres. Bush has done, but I dissagree with everything Kerry represents, I will vote for GW Bush this fall. We must not be tied to the whims of the UN. Keep up the good work.

Retired Army Command Sergeant Major (U.S. Army 1955-1975) Three Vietnam Tours between 1967 and 1972, two Infantry. I urge every veteran to vote this November. If you don't feel comfortable voting for Bush, then go to the polls and vote against Kerry. This year we are like a bunch of chickens who have been given two foxes from which to choose. Either way, we will lose. But, hopefully, voting against Kerry will buy us some time.

"In the bleak winter of 1776 when the men who had enlisted in the summer were going home because the way was hard and their enlistments were over, Tom Paine wrote, "Those are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will in this crisis shrink from the service of his country, but he that stands it now deserves the love and thanks of man and woman." Like the winter soldiers of 1776 who stayed after they had served their time, we veterans of Vietnam know that America is in grave danger. What threatens our country is not Redcoats or even Reds; it is our crimes that are destroying our national unity by separating those of our countrymen who deplore these acts from those of our countrymen who refuse to examine what is being done in America's name" John Kerry and other veterans returned from Vietnam and spoke the truth, today Kerry and veterans are speaking that same truth. http://lists.village.virginia.edu/sixties/HTML_docs/Resources/Primary/Winter_Soldier/WS_entry.html

Thank you for exposing Kerry's military service in Vietnam. In my opinion, he was nothing more than a "politically" connected (hello...Ted. Kennedy) junior naval officer who did NOT earn the Silver Star Medal. I also question his three Purple Heart Medals and, WISH someone would investigate this matter. From: Vietnam COMBAT! "Understanding the Bush Administrations Foreign Policy. Suppose you had a neighbor who you have been pushing around, at whim, for at least ten years. A neighbor clearly so much weaker then you that you could knock that neighbor down any time you wanted. And you often did knock that neighbor down. Suppose that your daddy had once given that neighbor a rusty pistol, but no bullets, and you decided to use that rusty pistol as an excuse to attack your neighbor, by screaming loudly that the neighbor is a threat! Suppose that you destroyed your neighbor's TV, furniture, car, garage, plumbing, and electrical system. And several of his children. And that after destroying all that, you decided to fill your neighbor's house with brand new furniture, to give him a brand new TV, a new car, plumbing, and even the means to purchase a brand new gun, and lots of bullets. All because of the belief that doing all this would make that neighbor, that was once an enemy, your friend. Meanwhile, your own house has leaking, outdated, plumbing, old worn out furniture, a TV that needs repair, and a car that smokes badly. Yet when your OWN family asks you for house repairs, a good TV, and dependable car you tell them you can't afford it because you are making the neighborhood safer by rebuilding everything for your neighbor, who a short time ago was a threat to you. That you only have so much money. But the neighbor you gave so much to will never forget you killed their children. All you are doing is making an enemy stronger while betraying your own family. Substitute the word "Iraq" for the neighbor you feel is a threat, and "America's Veterans" for your own family in the story above and you will understand the "W" Bush Administration's reckless foreign policy. And it's betrayal of America's Veterans!"

Please send your letters to the AMVETS and the VFW.It seems we have a proplem with choice as to who or what we want to run this contry and to control our military.I do not like Bush but I sure am not going to stand up for some one like Kerry. We need Truman back. But of coures it is as they say "Money talks...Bull s--t walks".I am sure you have raised your sons to understand that truth is power and will come out in the end.I hope your son does not have to see, hear and suffer what those before him have.By the way, when Kerry through his medals on to the steps of the capital he became ineligible to ware them or to clim them.

Thank you so much for the article about that lying sob John Kerry. It is disgraceful that someone of his character should be the best that can be found to run for President of these GREAT United States. I am a registered Democrat, but I would never vote for a scumbag like John Kerry. I also served in VietNam and I never saw anything that would be construed as detrimental or controversial to our involvement in that country. I didn't want to go, but, like everyone else that was there in 68-69, I'm very proud I went and was able to serve my country. John Kerry is a rat with a capital "R" and should be ashamed of some of the things he has said about our military. I would NEVER vote for him or anyone like him. Just give me an old southern boy like "W" and I'll be happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wonderful site. I am a disabled female Veteran and want to say thank for letting others Vets voice their opinions. I had a Vet tell me that Kerry earned his purple Hearts from scratches and cuts, not by bullets and bombs. No I was never in Vietnam, but I served during it. Females weren't allow to go into Combat unless you were in the medical flied. Not sure if I would have served under Bush very well and this year will be interesting and would like to say there are more running for office than just them two. Not saying you should but listen to Nader speech on CCN or listen to LaRouce. They do have some interesting topics. Thanks for letting me say my piece God Bless all the Veterans and WELCOME HOME Veterans.

I commend you for bringing out the truth about John Kerry! I was with the Recon for 2 tours in 63 thru 65. Spent many hours along the Trail watching what was coming down the pike. Lost a lot of friends over there, but never did I see our guys committing any atrocities. Saw a lot of Cong and Chinese atrocities, tho. Don't want to go into those because that is a closed chapter in my life. If Kerry wants to carry these memories and nightmares around for the rest of his life, he is welcome to them. I, like the rest of the Vets, am too old and tired to shoulder the load anymore. Let the Democrats back in power, and we won't have to go over-seas to fight, the next war will be on our soil. God help us all, and for your fight against this liar!!!

Thank you for exposing the truth about the JFK wanna be. I also want to thank you for your time of service. I was a reject due to playing too much football. I tried to get into the Coast Guard Academy in 1967. I passed the aptitude part with flying colors, but was rejected because of the knees. I suppose if I got in with my friends, I would have been labeled a draft dodger. Well, a few weeks after being rejected by the Coast Guard, the Army came calling. Passed their apptitude test with flying colors also. However, they too thought my knees were a problem for a 20 year old kid. I found out years later that my friends who got into the Coast Guard ended up patrolling the coast of Vietnam and were shot at just like everybody else. Keep up the good work exposing the liar. The political Right wanted that war in Vietnam, but what it did not want was the truth about the war as told by the warriors who suffered in the war. And today this same Right will do anything to shut up these graying warriors who insist upon telling the truth. There are certain simple facts here that need to be understood clearly in this intensifying political season. John Kerry fought in Vietnam, but George Bush chose not to fight. Yet, Don, like many who are loyal Republicans, dismisses the combat veteran and defends the combat evader.

I'm certain there are thousands of veterans out there feeling the same way you do. But I am troubled by our party being the "Silent Majority". Each of us has a duty to our country and our president to defend him, as you and your fellow soldiers have done and are continuing to do. Each should speak out as you have done against this so-called do-gooder who will bring down our country and all that you have fought to uphold. Let's don our army fatigues and do battle against his type of governing forces that will ruin our country. God Bless you for all you are doing!!!!

First, let me thank you Don, and all the rest of the vets who served honorably in Vietnam. Like a lot of those who've signed your book, I volunteered and spent two tours sitting on a guided missile frigate on North SAR and Yankee Station. Our primary was to pick up downed pilots and act as Primary aircontrol for the BARCAP and MIGCAP boys. I tried to transfer to the Riverine forces several times, but I was in a critical rate and they wouldn't let me. I lost a lot of good friends in that damn war, and it makes my blood boil when scum suckers like Kerry come along and trash the reputation and patriotism of our servicemen. He's a lying, traitorous skunk and I hope to God he gets what he deserves for the despicable things he has done simply to feather his own nest!

"The tragedy of my life was not being shot in Vietnam; the tragedy in my life is one that has been shared by all too many Americans, and is still being shared today. For me, knowledge of the fact that my government had seen fit to involve us militarily in Vietnam was sufficient for me. I never asked the reason why. I just took it on blind faith that my government knew a hell of a lot more than I ever could, and that they must be right. My opinion has changed since then...." http://www.vietnamese-american.org/

"Take a step back in time, back some 35 years, and you will hear right-wing Americans slamming combat veterans after their return home. I said right-wing, not the antiwar movement. You will hear the hateful Right discrediting the battlefield sacrifices of the crippled, dismissing the mentally devastated that became know as PTSD, because of what they no longer believed. What they no longer believed in was the Vietnam War. Then return to today, listen to the voices claiming John Kerry is a buddy of Hanoi Jane (Fonda). And hear the silence that the Vietnam War was wrong, notice the indifference from the Right as Republicans attempt to slash the Veterans Administration's budget." Wow! I was simply blown away by your facts regarding Kerry. I am a young woman with 2 children, married to an active duty Naval Officer. I've been by my husband's side throughout his military career for the past 12 years! Honestly, I am like most young people who do not know enough about the candidates in the political arena and choose not to vote. Yet, I am a registered voter and voted for President Clinton when I was younger only because I thought he looked "cool" playing the sax on TV. I didn't know anything about anyone else during that campaign, therefore I picked the most appealing to my age group! Now that I am older and wiser, I realize that the underlying "facts" about each individual must be known before casting a vote. Your email was quite an "eye-opener" and truly made a difference in my opinion. As a military spouse, I can clearly define who is NOT FOR US (military) and who is! I will defintely make my vote COUNT this time around! Thank you for putting the "facts" on the table!

There's an expression that "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything". This is John Kerry. I recently received an e-mail from my mother, she was very upset. I read an Open Letter to John Kerry written by you. I want you to know that I agree 100%. This was my reply to that letter also and sent to all friends and family, and what was left of some school firends that fought in that war. "My two brothers served in Vietnam". My youngest brother also was green beret, special forces. I am so very proud of both my brothers. I was very upset when they (my brothers), cousins, friends, and school mates, were unloaded off the planes wounded, and the protestors were yelling such terrible things and spitting on them". I have female and male family then and now in other countries fighting for the likes of all the John Kerry's in the world. How dare you say you are a patriot, how dare you say you are a true American". "Mr. John Kerry you have lost yourself alot of votes, mine and everyone I know". I am so mad at you Mr. Kerry, you have upset everyone I know, and love dearly, that died, came back wounded, and all the rest that came back home with "Agent Orange". How dare you use the horse crap for your own political gain. I am a flag waying Patriot and American, and in honor of my brother "Trent W. Johnson" United States Army, green beret, special forces, now deceased, and all the true Americans, God bless you all, and Mr. Kerry go to hell. Don, I was in Nam from Apr 1966 to Apr 1967 at Cam Ranh Bay with the 6th of the 71st Artillery. We led rather sheltered lives there, never saw any combat, or any of the atrocities mentioned by some. I am sure some things happened, but I believe, like you, for the most part that most people acted honorably while there.

I am going to have to do some research and delve deeper into this now. As much as I am dissatisfied with G. W. Bush's handling of the economy, he has done a great job with the war on terrorism. I was all set to vote for Kerry. I was in the Navy on a Nuclear Sub during Vietnam. I went to a party once when I was home on leave and was called a baby killer. My response was I'm in the Navy! We were spat upon and treated very poorly. I used to get out of my uniform ASAP because we were thought of as Bad People! We weren't. We were and still are the good people!

'The USA surely deserves our unending thanks for making our world a safer place. It dropped nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki to contain Japan, napalm and Agent Orange in Vietnam in its fight against ‘Communism’, and ousted Afghanistan’s Taleban with the help of daisy cutters, bunker busters and cluster bombs. In Iraq it used cancer-engendering depleted uranium and non-precision cluster bombs leaving a trail of limbless children in their wake… but all in a good cause. So now we can all sleep well at nights secure in the knowledge our futures lie in the capable hands of Uncle Sam… or can we? Hang on! Haven’t we forgotten something? What about that tiny country, run by that peaceful chap Ariel Sharon who once said: “The Arabs may have the oil, but we have the matches”.'

Not to defend Mr. Kerry, but although he became a vet against th VN war, at least he had the guts to go in the first place. I wonder who was the pilot that was passed over so that little Georgie would'nt have to put his life on the line, did he go to Nam in Georgies place did he die is he MIA? I guess we will never know and I doubt that George does'nt lose any sleep over it either. Since you like to say that the liberal media, owned by billioaires, won't report your findings on Mr. Kerry, I suggest you obtain a copy of The Best Democracy Money Can Buy, author Greg Palast has the same problem you do. getting the truth out to the people.

mr. Bendell, i need to say a thank you for your efforts to show mr. kerry for what he is, a liar and a traitor. i lost someone very close to me sept 11, someone who my world revolved around. I pray ever day, every day, that senator kerry will lose this election, that president bush will again be elected and will be our commander in chief. currently, several friends, including my best friend are in iraq and afghanistan. as a concerned friend, i can only hope that we keep the CINC who understands and gives a damn about our security and theirs and that those of us who have our eyes open to just what senator kerry is will make our voices heard and votes counted. i hope our votes will be enough. i worry greatly about the security of this country. every day i think about the images of those planes hitting those towers and think what it must have been like for her and so many others. every day i remember how bill clinton, another draft-dodging anti-war liberal sent troops to somalia and helped invite disaster by putting american troops under un command and disregarding field commanders requests and advice. as a result, two more brave men earned the medals of honor in that effort. thanks again for your work. i will try to help spread the word.

Don, Sorry I did not get to talk with you on the phone. God bless Shirley for taking the call. She is a great blessing to all I am sure. Don, I will call you one late PM, when you least expect it. Don, thank you for standing tall, standing proud and standingagainst those who would ruin our Country if they had a chance to do that...like Jane Fonda, Peter Jennings, Hillary Clinton (Bill may try to once again rent or sell room to Chinese leaders), and to JFK (not then late Kennedy), but "old Cash & Jerry John". Don THANKS for letting everyone know for sure who Kerry really is, a political opportunist, always was, always will be. "America do not trust our great Country in this John "the saleman"'s hands. Don, just as I told Shirley I will continue to fwd. your mesages on Kerry and i will direct others to your website. Come Nov. 2004 the voters, millions of us, will put "Old Cash & Kerry's" pipe dreams to bed....maybe from that day on. Why? ecause people (in 2004) are going to hear reams tons of thigns about Kerry they will not like. Once the real truth is known about him he will be laughed out of DC. Maybe the tax payers of MA can find Kerry a job. He has never been anything but one who feeds at the through, paid for by others, not Kerry or his rich spouse. I am proud of what I and my fellow soldiers did for our Country and it,s painful to see that someone like Mr. Kerry is running to be a leader of our Country. Like so many others, I too was a nobody that served my Country honorably. Our Vets and our Country deserves alot better leadership than that of what Mr. Kerry has to offer under the conditions he has placed himself in. Don, You are doing a Great Job! I found the followin quotes quit interesting. Subject: Old Records Old records can still bite!!!! "One way or the other, we are determined todeny Iraq the capacity to develop wapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line." - President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998 "If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program." - President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998 Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will usenuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face." - Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998 "He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten time since 1983." - Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18,1998 "We urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, ifappropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to pondeffectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs." - Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin (D-MI), Tom Daschle (D-SD), John Kerry( D -MA), and others Oct. 9,1998 "Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." - Rep. Nancy Pelo! si (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998 "Hussein has ... chosen t o spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies." - Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999 "There is no doubt that ... Saddam Hussein has invigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemicaland nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies." - Letter to President Bush, Signed by Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL,) and others, December 5, 2001 "We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandated of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the means of deliv! ering them." - Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002 "We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country." - Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002 "Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power." - Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002 "We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction." - Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002 "The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Int! lligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..." - Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002 "I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force-- if necessary-- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security." - Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9,2002 "There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction."- Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002 "He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his &! sp;chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do" - Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002 "In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members.. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons." - Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002 "We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction." - Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002 "Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destructionis real" - Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003 SO NOW THESE SAME DEMOCRATS SAY PRESIDENT BUSH LIED--THAT THERE NEVER WERE ANY WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION AND HE TOOK US TO WAR UNECESSARILY!

9/67 to 9/68 I probably did not talk about VN for 10 years because of People like Kerry. No war is popular, but once we go, we have to support it or more people get lost while the enemy waits for us to beat ourselves up. I blame this war on Daschle when he agreed to support the president and then went to the press and opened the door for Germany, France and Russia to back out. The world knows we beat ourselves up on everything.

I read your editorial and found it very informative. As a Post Commander for an American Legion Post of over 400 Vets and as a life member of VVA chapter 767 I see and deal with real Vets and their problems every day. John Kerry is simply an opportunist and a fickled con-man (read that politician)trying to sell himself to needy easily misguided fools. When he "returned from Vietnam" and tossed his medals the government should have just happily exsponged his records. Then what platform would he tout to get Americas attention? I'm married to money so I know better than you !?? If Kerry wins this election it will be because George W. can't bring down the cost of gas and can't bring jobs back to America. If we do not severely restrict Immigration and start taking care of our own first and our friends second and our enemys NEVER, we will eventually lose this country. No sir I won't vote for Kerry, but alot of folls might if he isn't exposed for the wishy-washy, flip-floppin politico that he is. Thanks for speaking out. Cmdr. Clint Cagle Post #310 Racine, WI

Thank you. I hope that you are giving talks at all military associations. I am so sick of people saying they are ashamed to be an American and nobody doing anything about it...take the Dixie Chicks for example...the public shunned them for a little while however they still sold out concerts. We should be proud that Bush take action when WE WERE ATTACKED. Bleeding heart liberals and democrats need to look around it see what is really going on. JOHN: THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR PERSPECTIVE ON THIS JERK WHO IS INSULTING ALL OF US THAT SERVED IN THE NAM, BY RUNNING FOR THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF'S SLOT. AS A 30 YEAR VETERAN, I RECENTLY RETIRED FROM THE IOWA AIR NATIONAL GUARD. IT ALL STARTED OUT WITH A 4 YEAR TOUR IN THE NAVY 1964-1968. SAIGON, VIETNAM, 1968, FEB.,"TET OFFENCIVE" THE MEDALS I RECEIVED FROM THAT TOUR I CLUTCH DEARLY TO MY HEART, BECAUSE BACK THEN THATS WHERE WE CARRIED THE LOVE OF OUR COUNTRY,(IN OUR HEART). THOSE THREE MEDALS OUT OF THE 21 TOTAL I WAS AWARDED, ARE VERY SPECIAL. TO THINK THAT SOMEONE WHO CLAIMS TO HAVE GONE THROUGH THE "STUFF", WOULD THROW HIS INTO A PILE, IN PROTEST, IS DISGUSTING. REMEMBER BACK THEN WHEN THOSE WHO PROTESTED THE WAR, OR COULDN'T FACE UP TO THE TASK, LEFT THIS PRECIOUS LAND AND HEADED TO CANADA? HEY, LAST TIME I HEARD, THE GATES ARE STILL OPEN. MAYBE HE COULD CAMPAIGN FOR THE TOP SLOT UP THERE.....GOOD FOR YOU, JOHN, FOR CALLING A SPADE A SPADE, AND A DIRT BAG A DIRT BAG. KERRY NEEDS TO GO. WITHOUT THE LOVE FOR A NATION, HOW IN THE WORLD CAN A MAN RUN IT? KEEP TALKING, PEOPLE WILL LISTEN.

You call yourself and American ! Yet you mock John Kerry for exercising his freedom of speech. These same freedoms that you claim you fought so hard for, you are quick to ignore when they serve your politcal purposes. The only reason you wrote those editorials was to self promote yourself and your silly web site. George Bush was AWOL. Regardless of what Kerry did in Vietnam ...at least he went. You disgust me.

Wonderfull letters. I, like you, find Mr. kerry to be a lying, despicable man. A traitor to the USA. he will bring this country to it's knees, and destroy the freedom and futures of our children and their children. Thanks for the letters to distribute, i will continually check back for more info to spread around. As we can see, kerry has the biased press on his side, and that is just as despicable as kerry himself. This is media rigged elections. It should be against the law. Thank You for your honorable service and sacrifice for this great country in which we live.Your writings and editorials are well written and backed up with FACT...unlike some of the guests's on this site.Samiam, nice copy and paste of the Kerry talking points,I'm sure you will apply the same scrutiny to the Senator Kerry's military record,IF HE EVER RELEASES IT! He won't,I wonder why? kt are you kidding? CBS,the network that gave us the great Morley Safer and his total fabrication of the Marine "zippo squads". With great care he and CBS edited his his "famous" report to only show Marines torching a ville and crying village elders and children [no male or female of military age seen].Convieniently omitted was the FACT that the squad had just recieved heavy fire from the ville and several Marines were wounded and weapons caches were found.Sounds like YOU need to be educated. The primary enemy of the Vietnam vet is the same "objective media" that is giving now giving Kerry a pass.Senior NVA officers, including Gen.Giap are openly laughing at the fact that the media and the "USEFULL IDIOTS" here helped the communists prevail.TET, a crushing defeat for the NVA, and the end of the VC as a viable fighting force, was spun into a loss of US resolve thanks to the aforementioned media CBS...NBC...ABC.Don, Don't let them do to this generation of America's finest what they did to your's.Keep up the misson tempo and keep on speaking out about Kerry!!! It is because generations of veterans such as yourself payed with life, limb, blood, sweat and lots of tears that we are able to enjoy the freedoms most take for granted."All gave some, some gave all" GOD BLESS AMERICA

You tell the truth and provide the evidence, and that is the way it should be. It is a pity that some of our politicians are so quick to lie and would sell their soul for a few votes to achieve power. I am a USAF veteran from the Nam era but spent my overseas stint in Saudi Arabia. It is clear to me that our veterans should be treated with respect and honor, but that was certainly not the case in the VN conflict, and Kerry's lies will only compound that effect. What a pity that some will believe him. You would be proud of our little rural towns where Veteran's Day is truly celebrated with great respect and our children are being taught the truth.

In this past Sunday's Herald-Leader in Lexington KY, there was an article concerning jobs being shipped overseas for cheap labor. Along with the article was a graph showing textile employment in Kentucky since 1960. The glaring stat showed the peak textile employment being 40,800 in 1993 before taking a dramatic plunge to it's current level of 14,118. After seeing this, I can't help but wonder why people would be blaming George W Bush for this decline. Between 1993 and 2000, over 20,000 textile jobs were lost in Kentucky, leading me to believe that the Clinton administration simply wasn't doing the job when it comes to the job market. During the Clinton administration, textile jobs in Kentucky dropped an average of 10,000 each 4 yrs. President Bush has slowed that down to 6,000. That seems to be progress. Rebuilding what the Clinton administration tore down takes time. "Wonder" why Kerry hasn't mentioned this.

Lets not forget that most Democrats were backing Pres, Bush in 2000. Clinton abused his power and so will Kerry if elected. If anything I think Pres. Bush has more of an open mind than any other liberal. I'm sorry did Clinton serve? No! As far as the Kennedy's honor of this country an adulterer, muderer etc.! I know nobodys perfect but come on I would like to see the people who don't care for our President try to run our country. I served in Vietnam 1968-1969 and was still in Army hospital recovering from mine explosion wounds when Kerry and the other traitors were committing treason. I spent longer in the hospital than Kerry was in country, I really would like to see his records- there is a reason he won't release them. I never saw any of the things he talked about and it sure wasn't condoned. He and his friends never mentioned atrocities by the North. I sure don't think he should ever be President but I think he should still be in prison for his treason. US Army Retired

Your articles regarding John Kerry "hit the nail on the head". I was too young during Vietnam and my generation seems to know little about the gift of freedom that you and EVERY veteran has given us. I am proud of all of you and "thank you" is not enough. We will never be able to repay you for what you have sacrificed for each and every American. People seem to be forgetting 9/11 and again taking freedom and liberty for granted. John Kerry should be thanking all Veterans and Servicemen for the gift of freedom instead of apologizing to those who want to take it away.

Thank you for being so honest about kerry and the left in this country. I am so sick and tired of these people trying to give our country and our way of life away to the vermon of the world. I served in the USAF from 1969 through 1973. I am considered a VN veteran but I was never in country, I was in the theater. In December of 1972 I was involved with some of the communication that dealt with Linebacker II, the bombing of Hanoi. For years I felt guilty about never making to Nam, even though I volunteered for it several times. I am proud to be a a VN Vet, to be a life memeber of a VFW Post, and an American Legion Post. I know veterans understand the sacrifices that are necessary to be prepared for the protection our country. President Bush knows that this country was attacked and he is doing everything in his power to protect our way of life. I hope all veterans and all Americans stand up and support President Bush. In Massachusetts we have two major newspapers, one owned by the New York Times. Almost all the media in Massachusetts discussed the story of Bush being AWOL from the National Guard which was blessed by John Kerry, who knew it was a lie. Why won't the media go back to the same time to discuss Kerry's record of being in the same line with Hanoi Jane. They did all this knowing POWs were being held in Vietnam. Why is the media treating Kerry with Kid gloves when they know he was a traitor to his country.

Don, I appreciate your letter to Mr. Kerry, (I'm trying here to be respectful to him), and I have to thank you for speaking out on what he said about our VN Veterans. My wonderful husband, now deceased served 21 years in the military, 4 in the Navy, then 16 in the Army. He retired with honors and several metals. He served two tours of duty in VN and I RESENT anyone saying he was a babykiller, rapist, or any other such thing. He had flashbacks until the day he died, BUT, he also said if he were to be called to do it again, he would for our beloved country and for his family. We all need to support the President; he's doing a great job. If he had not done anything after 9/11 everyone would be ridiculing him for that, too. So he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. One man cannot please the whole population of this country. Yes, there are things I don't agree with him on, but he's doing the best he can with what he inherited. No one knows what someone else would have done in his position. Thank the Good Lord, President Hilary/Bill Clinton wasn't in there on 9/11; they hated the military and showed very little regard for them. My family like some others who have signed your guestbook, are made up of military. My Dad and my Father-in-law both retired from the ARMY (E-7), fought in WWII and Korea. I have two brothers who retired from the AF, (E-7), another brother that served four years, (SGT), an uncle in the USNavy for four years, brother-in-law, retired USNavy (CPO), four nephews served, my son served, AF and AL Army NG, my grandson is now in the Army Reserve, and a nephew, 1stLT, Army Reserve, now in Iraq. I'm proud of all of them and dare anyone to say they have not done their part. Thank you, Don, for serving and thank your wife for keeping the home fires burning as have many, many wives, mothers, sweethearts, husbands, etc done before and are doing now. I hope President Bush is re-elected and spends 4 more years in as the CIC of our military and leader of this great, proud country. If not, then I pray God will have mercy on our country and her people! Sincerely, Lucy (Excuse any misspelled words.) :>)

Don, just to let you know that your second letter followup was also a great message worth reading. Also, I didn't know that you appeared on radio and think it would be great if you inform the masses of veterans desiring to hear your future broadcasts as to what stations carry you and if they have streaming audio on the computer. Thanks for the updates and continued success in keeping this traitor from office. We all want to help where ever and when ever we can. Thanks again.

Thank you, Don, for speaking for so many. God allows us to have the leaders we deserve. Unfortunately, too many in this country, mostly deceived or uninformed Democrats, deserve someone like Kerry who will lead the country toward destruction just as Clinton did. Now those same ones are blaming Bush for numerous ills when he is simply extricating the country out of messes enhanced by Clinton and his policies(911,Iraq, economy, Haiti, & more). We need to pray for mercy that we would be spared from a Kerry presidency. Again, thank you for illuminating the dark side. Please continue.

You are on the mark, Don. Thanks for making an attempt to educate what I fear is the uneducatable. There are so many dunderheads out there that still think John Kerry's treason was something noble. Most of them, like a lot of Kerry's bogus "Winter Soldiers," have never served in the US military...folks like Terry McAuliff and Ted Kennedy. I served twelve years in the US Marine Corps, served in Vietnam as such, received a Purple Heart, and completed my military career with the Army National Guard. I missed drills in the Guard that I later made up. Did that make my Guard service "dishonorable?" Did that make me a "deserter?" I think not! It is shameful that so many supposed "Americans" cast unqualified aspersion on President Bush's honorable National Guard service and at the same time revere traitors like John Kerry. God only knows how many American and allied soldiers lost their lives in the closing days of the Vietnam conflict because traitors like John Kerry and Jane Fonda boosted the morale of our enemies while tearing down the morale of our own troops. I speak from the experience of one who was there. Their patronage of our enemies over us was disasterous to my morale, and to most all of the veterans I know with whom I served. It is a matter of record that John Kerry is a devout Socialist and Communist sympathizer. Do I dare challenge John Kerry's patriotism? Yes. Hell yes! Whatever he may ahve achieved in Vietnam, and serious questions have arisen about that, he squandered upon his return to the US. He disgraced the uniform he wore and the country he served by giving aid and succor to our enemy in Southeast Asia, abandoning his oath and responsibilities as a Naval officer, and absolutely lying in his testimony before Congress. I, as you, call upon every veteran, families and friends of veterans, the widows and orphans of veterans left behind and all true Americans to vigorously oppose this "Manchurian Candidate." How did this traitor ever achieve ANY elected office in America?

My compliments to Don on a very thorough and diligent investigation of Sen. Kerry's record. I served in the military (US Coast Guard) from 1979 - 1994. I entered the service when we were being spit upon and ridiculed by most people in our country, lived through the re-building years under Regan and 41 and left during the Clinton years. I can honestly say that I have not ever seen anyone less patriotic than John Kerry unless it was Bill Clinton or maybe Al Gore. Why is it that people want to call W. (and Dan Quayle before him)draft dodgers for serving in the National Guard? While letting Bill Clinton off the hook? It is purely for political gain that these people make their comments. Thanks to Don for taking the time to air the truth from a perspective that can only come from having been there. De Oppresso Liber!

Given George W. Bush's derelict military service during the same period, it is difficult to understand how or why today's soldier would prefer him as their "Commander in Chief" over John Kerry, a decorated war hero. But I am interested in the distortion of democracy in the farsical 2004 U.S. elections. I'm compelled to ask, - Is Bendell's attack on Kerry motivated by moral outrage, as he claims? Or is his rant politically motivated by Kerry's opponents in the 2004 elections? -

I know I had it easy and nothing like the veterns who served in Vietnam or or now in Iraq and Affiganistan. People need to realize Kerry is nothing more then a traitor and should never become President. I strongly support President Bush in everything he does. The Kerry people have made a huge miscalculation in their efforts to have him elected. They ignored the millions out here who have served and still serve, who understand the difference between service and SERVICE WITH HONOR. All who serve, including in the rear with the gear, deserve to be appreciated....but even more, all who serve, then ABANDON their "band of brothers" early, come home and spread traitorous lies in public, don't deserve a place of leadership in the USA. DON'T FORGET Kerry equated National Guardsmen with people who fled to Canada!!! My husband was a Force Recon Marine, an Army Special Forces schoolgrad. My dad was kia Vietnam. My brother served in Desert Storm. We KNOW who is qualified to lead us in these challenging times: President George Bush! Peace through Strength and damn France for being a jealous ex-friend!!! I heard your commentary on KTSA in San Antonio this am. I can understand you distain for Kerry. It is a shame there are so few choices for President. I think there is a more important matter, which should be addressed - It appears George W should be charged with fraud concerning the reasons used to start a war with another country. It has become apparent to many around the world there were no WMD's in Iraq but the present administration ignored the facts and continued to fabricate the notion Iraq had WMD's, scaring the "sheeple" into war. Bush and his administration should be indicted under Title 18 of the USGC for the crime of fraud.... check it out. Maybe we could try Bush and Saddam at the same time for the $75 million we are allotting for the Saddam trial alone! Cheers Vic Exposing the Myth of the War on Terror http://www.oilwars.com

Thanks for your letters. I agree with you 100%. Kerry would be a disaster for this country. I served in Vietnam twice as an aviator - once early on "63-'64 and then in '68-'69 and like you, I deeply resent Kerry's malevolent characterization of all the brave men and women who served there. My brother-in-law was a prof at the U. of Michigan in the '70's. Ivisited him once during the height of the Vietnam protests and was shocked at the number of bearded, greasy, unkept, anti-war hippies that were on campus. I asked him what it was like to teach such scum. His reply was that he felt like he was casting imitation pearls before genuine swine. Such was Kerry! Blessings on you. Keep up the fight.

Our freedom and free speech is truly a double-edged sword...those that choose to demean our country and try to subvert it at any effort and means available to them; then there are those of you who fought, and even gave up their lives, the ultimate sacrifice that so many seem to distain and treat as nothing, so that we as Americans can still express the truth to those who chose to not hear. AND STILL THINK A MAN LIKE BUSH THAT DODGED THE DRAFT DURING NAM IS SO PATRIOTIC.NO ONE IS DEGRADEING THE GAURD BUT YOU KNOW TOO THE NAT GAURD WHEN BUSH JOINED WAS NOT CALLED FOR NAM DUTY. THE DRAFTEES WERE THE ONES THAT WENT TO NAM WHILE BUSH HID IN THE GAURD. THERE WAS 58000 TROOPS KILLED IN NAM AND ONLY 101 WAS FROM TH GAURD. THE 101 WERE BRAVE ENOUGH TO VOLUNTEER BUT YOUR HERO BUSH WOULD NOT DO THAT. BUSH GOULD HAVE FLOWN THAT PLANE IN NAM IF HE THE GUTS TO VOLUNTEER TO GO LIKE THE 101 THAT WERE KILLED DID. I DID NOT SERVE IN NAM BUT DID SERVE ALMOST 4YEARS IN SUBMARINE SERVICE WW2. DID HAVE TWO SONS SERVE IN NAM. BOTH VOLUNTEERED AND SOME OF THE THINGS THAT KERRY SAID HAPPENED DID JUST THAT. IF YOU WERE IN NAM THE WAY YOU SAID YOU WERE YOU WOULD KNOW THAT THAT WAR CHANGED OUT YOUNG TROOPS. MY ONE SON STILL HAS FLASH BACKS ABOUT THE NAM WAR. I SUPPPORTED THE TROOPS IN NAM JUST AS I SUPPORT THE TROOPS NOW IN IRAQ. THESE TROOPS THAT ARE DIEING IN IRAQ NOW IS NEEDLESS. HAD A GRANDSON SERVE THERE TOO. I pray to God the people of America don't vote this man in as our next President. We have a friend at our church who is from Germany. Thanks for your time in service and the battles you had to fight. Thank God you came home in one piece. We need more military personnel rebuking Kerry's outragious actions and political stances. I wonder, do you suppose Kerry came home with even one little scar? He certainly has enough political scars on his voting record to warn off any thinking voter. But we know there are many blind followers of the Democratic party who would votes for the jackass himself -- whoever is running. Like you I voted for Pres. Carter and have regretted it immensely, I am a veteran, who was fortunate to be of the right age and was able to serve my country between WWII and the Korean War (policing action?), but I am still proud of my service and all who have ever served in any branch of our military. My personal opinion is that any veteran would have to have oatmeal for brains to vote for "Hanoi John". As you know, there are many messages circulating on the internet about "Hanoi Jane" and "Hanoi John" joinging hands in their treasonist actions toward our country. We will just have to pray that enough people will be swayed against voting for "Hanoi John" come November. I almost forgot to mention how much I enjoyed reading your answers to the e-mails.

i hope you bush supporters will wake up & open your eyes to what is really going on.... "June 30, 2003 In recent months, President Bush and the Republican-controlled Congress have missed no opportunity to heap richly deserved praise on the military. But talk is cheap ? and getting cheaper by the day, judging from the nickel-and-dime treatment the troops are getting lately. For example, the White House griped that various pay-and-benefits incentives added to the 2004 defense budget by Congress are wasteful and unnecessary ? including a modest proposal to double the $6,000 gratuity paid to families of troops who die on active duty. This comes at a time when Americans continue to die in Iraq at a rate of about one a day." Thank you for your service in Nam and thanks again for your wonderful editorial about John Kerry. Was listening to the news yesterday and heard that the ruler of North Korea is pushing for a Kerry win...that should tell us a lot. President Bush has done a lot of things right and I am sure that he has made mistakes along the way as no man is perfect, but I do believe that he has the countries best interest at heart. People complain about tax cuts for the wealthy and it really irritates me. IF every dollar in the US was equally distributed among the people in the US it would not be long before the same wealthy people would be wealthy again and the majority of the poor people would soon be poor again. I know someone who has over the years gotten much more money than we have ever had and they are looking at a second bankruptcy while we are hoping to have enough money for retirement someday. Barber's don't get rich, but we do try to save. Some people can and will manage money and some will never learn. My son is in the Middle East with the US Navy and he definitely believes that for his daughter's sake, terrorism needs to be handled now before they grow up. Thanks for your statements and your service. Certainly I agree officers should be responsible for preventing and reporting atrocities. I have confidence that the great American majority of warriors fought with valor and dignity. I was an Air Guard pilot throughout the 60's, considered combat ready but not called. Doing my share for Harry Truman's containment policy was an honor. Unfortunately the coast "liberals" in the Democrat Party turned on the southern and midwestern leadership and doomed a completely successful Vietnam effort. Nevertheless, I think the sacrifices by our men and women during that period have led to a better world. The experience made me awaken to the shallowness of the Democrat Party as now led from Massachusetts.
