Mr. Don Bendell ¨C THANK YOU. Your 10.28.04 GUEST OPINION entitled "OCTOBER
ELECTION SURPRISES" just summed things up most thoughtfully. If Americans decide to
get theirs heads on straight about just one point you made, it must be what, in my humble
opinion, is the overriding truism for us all to embrace on Nov. 2nd...which you set forth
nicely and I quote, ¡°This is NOT a Republican-Democrat thing. This election is about
honesty and dishonesty, looking Presidential versus being Presidential, ¡°talking the
talk¡± versus ¡°walking the walk,¡± character, earning the respect of our fighting
men and women, but more than anything, it is about the security of our nation, not the
cost of health care. Costs of anything matters not if you are dead¡±. The American
Political Scientists Association today released a thorough study which concludes that
George W. Bush will receive 57.6% of the popular vote on Nov. 2nd. Providing the study is
accurrate and ELECTORS IN OUR STATES REMAIN LOYAL TO THEIR COMMITMENTS, we will be spared
from having to endure incompetent leadership in the oval office for 4 more years.

Don, Just wanted to thank you for your sacrifices back in Vietnam. Men like you are
the reason we live free here in the USA. I believe we need President Bush another four

First Mr. Bendell I would like to say to say from one vet to another Welcome Home and
Thank you very much for your contribution to our great nation. Even though I was not even
thought of during your service in Vietnam I deal with a lot of Vietnam Vets and I feel
that even though it may not be much to say so, it is very much in order and if I could I
would shake your hand. And as for your stand on democratic hopeful, and I use that term
loosely, I would have to agree. How can I respect or even trust a man who would turn his
back on my fellow brothers in arms to be my commander in chief. It makes me wonder what he
would to me and the men I serve with if we ever left behind. So I take a stand against
"Hanoi John" and make my voice heard on Nov. 2. for my candidate is George W.
Bush. May god bless you and your family where ever they are and thank you again.

I pray that someday our children will grow up taking hold of personal responsibility as
a creed and pushing aside the idea that ¡°others are to blame¡± or that a parental
government needs to think for them. I pray that someday adults will shun the idea that
criticism of others is equal to deeds, that a last minute polishing of personal style is
equal to life-long development of character, and that kowtowing to ¡°insta-polling¡±
is equal to standing up for personal beliefs. Our culture is at a crossroads of these two
diametrically opposed concepts: ¡°Can Do¡± vs. ¡°Do It For Me.¡± Entitlement,
political correctness, and a sense of personal helplessness may soon be part of our
national character. May it never be so. Our pioneering ancestors are turning in their
graves at the thought. I hope this country can return to common sense, common decency, and
dedication to improving the common good. Get out and vote for President Bush, and let¡¯s

Mr. Bendell, You remind me alot of my husband. You can take alot of crap and still
have room for love. I'm not much into politics but if there's one thing that I've learned
it is that if we as American's would like to continue having freedom and all that good
stuff than there will be sacrifices that have to be made and unfortunately that may be
someone close to us. My husband is an officer and if God decides to not let him come home
to me than I know that he will go home to God and he didn't die in vain. He also protects
and serves people that he himself can't stand and would also like to have his way with.
It's amazing how people get so emotional over things myself included and I have to wonder
if it's because we're so set on trying to prove that the other person is wrong. Personally
I don't believe that it's good for America to have Kerry as President when he has trouble
in his own life deciding who he's going to stay married to. Marriage I feel is not just a
partnership but it's a commitment to your spouse and to God that you will stay married to
that person until one of you dies. If Kerry can't stay committed to one person will he
also turn his back on his country when things get bad? Just a question that I thought I'd
ask. I had the same question go through my mind when Clinton was President. Like I said
it's just a question. I have met you on several occasions and have also spoken to your
wife and even if we were to disagree on politics - you two are very awesome people and you
are respected in my home. I've never been in the military. I've had family in the past
serve in many wars including Civil Wars all th way up to Desert Storm and unfortunately
there are alot of people that experience many heartaches but it is done with a reason. In
the book of Joshua it speaks of the battle of Jericho and God Himself was their leader. In
fact most of the wars that took place in the Bible took place in or around Israel which is
farely close to where our war is now. America will win this war it says so in the Bible.
It doesn't say America specifically it says the soaring eagle which is what represents
America.Bush will be President again. Even if Kerry is elected he'll end up pissing off so
many American's that he'll have to resign or something which could happen giving that he
can't stay committed to anything.I know it's hard dealing with
loudmouth,"long-winded", disrespectful people but always keep in mind that there
are alot of people out here that do respect you and support you and pray for our troops
every day. Thanks for taking time to read my letter I know you're a busy man.

Bush led us into war because 1) he claimed Saddam had WMD and 2) he claimed he could
prove Saddam was involved in 9/11. Both of these claims were false. Saddam was a terrible
dictator, but there are hundreds of terrible dictators in this world¡ªBush only seems
interested in those dictators in oil-rich countries. George Bush justified invading Iraq
because 1) he claimed Iraq had WMDs and 2) he claimed Iraq was behind 9/11. Both of these
claims have been disproved. Saddam Hussein was a terrible dictator guilty of abuses
against his people. But so are the rulers of many other governments with which we do
business. North Korea, for example, is a dictatorial state led by Kim Jong II openly
pursuing a nuclear weapons program. Why didn't we invade North Korea ? North Korea doesn't
have any oil. Other terrible dictators include Than Shwe in Burma, Hu Jintao in China,
Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe, and Crown Prince Abdullah in Saudi Arabia who has close ties to
the Bush family. At least 10,000 Iraqi civilians have died as a result of the U.S.
invasion. Daily manifestations of anti-American rage in Iraq and throughout the Middle
East make it painfully clear that we are considered an occupying power, not a liberating
one. The Bush administration has offered no viable plan for bringing democracy to Iraq.
The U.S., once considered the standard bearer for liberty, is now internationally
associated with military imperialism and profiteering. LET'S REMIND SHRUB HOW CIVILIZED
PEOPLE PERFORM A REGIME CHANGE: AT THE BALLOT BOX!

This is addressed to the Nam paratrooper with a son in Iraq. first, thank you for your
service. I served in the Air Force on Okinawa, Taiwan, and TDY at Da Nang. 5 years total.
No combat experience, so i can't speak to that, but i can speak to love of country. I
sense a lot of resentment & guilt in your letter. I can't believe it wasn't more than
a very small % of our guys that were in Viet Nam that committed any atrocities, just as i
believe it's only a handful of our troops doing anything wrong in Iraq. To our credit
these malcontents are taken care of by the Military Code of Justice. I personally knew 6
or 8 of my friends that went in country, and not a one of them said anything about burning
houses, cutting off ears, as our friend Kerry claims he did. Viet Nam is a very different
war than Iraq. We had people that were drafted over there in Viet Nam. They didn't want to
be there, and that's a very bad combination. And we must always remember. We were attacked
first, and if you don't think Saddam was celebrating when the towers came down...think
again. My daughter was in tower 1, and got out. I thank God every day for that, and i pray
your son comes back safe in his effort to protect all of us. You seem tormented. I hope
some day you can find peace.

A lot of people underestimate President Bush when it comes to a debate. He's pretty
good at it. You know back in college he was able to argue both sides of that 'Taste great,
less filling' debate." --Jay Leno "President Bush's hometown newspaper in
Crawford, Texas, has endorsed John Kerry. Well President Bush doesn't know about it, cause
it was in his newspaper." --Jay Leno During a speech this week John Kerry said if
President Bush is re-elected he might bring back a military draft. When asked, Bush said,
'Trust me, even if I bring back the draft there are plenty of ways to get around
it.'" --Conan O'Brien "The fourth hurricane this year is hitting Florida. Jeb
Bush said if the state were any more devastated, his brother would declare it a complete
success" --Bill Maher "Donald Rumsfeld said they are going to have elections
even if only three quarters of the country votes. He said life isn't perfect. He said
sometime when you have elections, you have to exclude parts of the country. You know, like
we did with the blacks in Florida." --Bill Maher Teresa Heinz Kerry predicted at a
fund-raiser the other day that Osama bin Laden will be captured just before the election.
Of course when President Bush heard he was furious. He said, 'How did she find out?'"
--Jay Leno "President Bush met with the prime minister of Greece. In the meeting,
Bush praised the Greek people by saying, 'You gave the world Plato, which I once ate a can
of.'" --Conan O'Brien

Bush just isn't in reality on Iraq. Forget about Cheney's "Rhetoric" about
John Kerry being soft on terrorism-he's not. The real question is: How his policy on Iraq
differs from President Bush's. His answer is "unlike Bush, whose decisions have been
dictated at every stage by "GRANDIOSE VISIONS AND WISHFUL THINKING"John Kerry
will get real.-focusing on what is really possible in Iraq, and what needs to be done to
protect American security and American lives. Bush claims that Kerry's plan to secure and
rebuild Iraq is "Exactly what we're currently doing. " NO IT IS NOT" It's
only what Bush is currently saying. And we have 18 months of his administrations' deeds to
contrast with his words. (remember he said 6 months tops now its 4 years(FLIPPIOUS
FLOPPIOUS ALA GEORGE BUSH) The Actual Bush Administration record is one of officials who
have refused to admit that their fantasies about how the war would go were wrong ,and who
have continued to push us even deeper into the quagmire because of their insistence that
everything is going accord to plan-"According to plan?" Their plan has become a
recipe for disaster. THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION HAS FAILED TO DO ANYTHING SERIOUS ABOUT
REBUILDING IRAQ. THE MONEY MELTED AWAY -$8 BILLION TO DATE UNACCOUNTED FOR.WHERE IS IT?
Even the Republican Press is having serious doubts about George Bush. Less attention has
been given to its parallel failure to take the security problem seriously until much of
Iraq had already been lost. It has become apparent to even the most casual observer and
staunch supporter of President Bush that we are engaged in an "ESCALATING GUERRILLA
WAR. "BUSH AND CRONIES "GOOFED" THEMSELVES INTO BELIEVING WERE ARE FIGHTING
A HANDFUL OF DEAD-ENDERS AND FOREIGN TERRORIST. AND HOW WRONG THEY ARE. As a result: The
Bush Administration has casually swelled the ranks of our foes. no joke;its not. Although
Muqtada al-Sadr was never ever going to be our friend, but he didn't have to be our enemy
The Bush Administration even treated Iraqi security forces with contempt, dismissing them
and a standing army that could of been brought to bear on the countries sense of order.
ANALYSIS REPORT: "Inexcusable Failure" says Anthony Cordesman of the Center for
Strategic and International Studies" Basically he says: "The Bush Administration
failed to treat the Iraqi's as partners in the counterinsurgency effort." Bush
administration officials are "Guilty of a gross military, administrative and moral
failures." The roots of this folly is a continuing refusal to face uncomfortable
facts. Bush having been confronted with a bleak C.I.A. assessment of the Iraq
situation-one that matches the judgment of just about every independent experts responds
"That they are just guessing"Is this guy nuts? Cordesman writes, "The
administrations 's senior spokesmen still seem to live in a fantasyland-one that is
getting many American reservist's killed. When will Bush be held Accountable.? WMGeraghty

Zogby. He's going to be president.Bush has us bogged down in Iraqi,in a "no win"
situation. I see the truth doesn't last long on this site. Say what you will about Kerry
